Model Railroading may be our forté, but Christmas Spirit is right up there too!
This is a Christmas craft designed more for a fireplace mantel than a railroad layout. Make this a family project for Christmas. Create a Christmas decoration while introducing the family to cardstock model making.
The PDF Plan Package includes printable color patterns to construct three HO Scale (1:87) buildings, including the Cottage, Village Church, and Toy Store. (Building sizes approx. 4" x 4", 4 1/2" x 4 1/2", and 4" x 6 1/2").

Also included is an eleven page generic Cardstock Modelling Guide showing the basic steps in assembling a cardstock model. Although we recommend this as a great family activity for the holidays, some of the folds and cuts require care and precision, so we advise that an adult is involved in the construction of this kit.
Once you order and download the files you can print them out on a color inkjet or laser printer, to either cardstock paper or matte-finish photo paper. Tools required are scissors, x-acto knife, and a straight-edge.
What you will need in addition:
- 12 - 14 sheets of cardstock or matte photo paper
- Artificial snow (aerosol spray)
- Scraps of photo mat board or balsa (for floor and wall reinforcement)
- White polyester fill or white felt
- Christmas figurines (available at gift stores, Dollar Tree, etc.)
